As part of the IATA “Simplifying the Business” initiative, airlines and airports have been able to advance the facilities of Internet Check-in and, importantly, the ability for passengers to print their own boarding cards at home or in the office. These advances allow passengers to bypass check-in at the airport and go directly to security search and onwards to the departure gate.
Real Time's FirstPass follows the IATA standards, and provides the barcoded boarding pass as a MMS or WAP Push message on a mobile handset.
Deploying FirstPass allows your passengers to check-in on-line at locations with no access to a printer, for example, passengers can check-in at hotels, conference centres, internet cafés, wireless hotspots and even kiosks at the airport.
Additionally, FirstPass allows airlines to improve CRM by capturing the passenger’s mobile details, allowing flight updates to be sent directly to passengers.
