Hydrocarbon Accounting We have delivered hydrocarbon accounting systems since 1993 and we have recently replaced our RT-Noms™ offering with
RT-HAS™ which provides an integrated, configurable suite of modules to assist in the day-to-day management of today’s complex oil and gas installations.
Designed using the latest UML techniques and developed using J2EE technology this allows full access to the system from a browser, providing instant access to new users and simplifying configuration control and support.
Our in-house knowledge allows us to assist customers in the specification of allocation agreements and decide on the most efficient operational procedures. This knowledge has also allowed us to develop some key functions of RT-HAS™ that ensures that operations, whether it be an oil pipeline or a gas/condensate terminal can be maximised, reducing any penalty payments or over-deliveries while ensuring that production targets are met.
Flexibility and Accuracy Recent increases in the gas price and developments in drilling have made many smaller, marginal fields viable, resulting in frequent changes to the ownership of gas arriving at a terminal.
RT-HAS™ can be easily configured to handle such changes and therefore provides terminal operators with the ideal tool to manage their gas delivery.
Our systems automate in-the-day (ITD) planning, providing operators with the ability to accurately predict both allocated and attributed EOD volume and energy values. From these figures, the system advises on production flowrates necessary to meet targets and minimise substitution between fields.
A wide range of reports is available in electronic or printed copy. In the UK, these include Daily Flow Notifications (DFNs) as required by Transco and a range of daily and monthly hydrocarbon accounting reports including the PPRS returns for the DTI.
In addition to the entry of daily and weekly nominations, the system is capable of managing linepack build and delivery, notified substitution, fuel gas offtake, well allocation and condensate tank storage and allocation.
A quality management option, based on our pipeline monitoring product RT-Flow™, provides a composition tracking model and the ability to predict the Wobbe Index in advance of the gas arriving at the terminal. This has proved successful on a number of occasions in preventing delivery of off-spec gas allowing suitable actions to be taken to prevent financial penalties while continuing production.
Making Data Available Data produced by the system can be viewed on Intranet bulletin boards, trending tools or handed-off to other systems such as data historians. With increased market trading and competition, the need to provide accurate forecasting information is crucial.
See our track record for some examples of recent projects where our involvement has made a real difference.
System Support All systems are covered by our comprehensive support services which includes a 1-hour response service and next-day, on site assistance, 365 days per year. Remote access allows on-line assistance immediately by our team of support engineers.
We place an emphasis on partnership and effective communication. This enables us to develop close working relationships with operators, contractors and technology vendors. |
