Having previously generated a multi-million pound turnover via the Scottish Executive’s FITSS frameworks, Real Time envisages the UK-wide ICT work leading to even greater benefits. Further spin-offs are anticipated as the profile of the consultancy rises south of the border and the firm gains access to new markets and customers.
The new three-year contract, known as the ICT Consultancy Framework Agreement, will be managed by OGCbuying.solutions, the trading arm of the Office of Government Commerce. Gerry Docherty, Real Time’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this Catalist framework agreement as it underlines our capabilities in the provision of ICT services within the public sector.
“Working with OGC buying solutions under the Catalist brand will strengthen our position in the public sector and help us with our aim of further developing the business outside Scotland.” The Catalist framework is designed to simplify the procurement of ICT services in the public sector. Public sector customers will be offered best value for money from the 'best of breed' suppliers accredited under the standard terms and conditions of agreement.
The Catalist framework was designed and evaluated with expert help and assistance from OGCbuying.solutions' customers, drawn from central and civil government and local authorities.
